Description
Role Overview Evaluate and annotate outputs from generative music AI models for a research collaboration with a leading AI lab. You will listen to AI-generated tracks and detailed musical training data, apply professional audio and music expertise in both Italian and English, and deliver structured ratings and taxonomy-based annotations that inform model quality and training improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate AI model outputs, including lyrics, voice generation, and overall musical quality.
• Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio engineering terminology.
• Score the quality of musical training data.
• Annotate songs in detail using a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
• Write music and assess lyrical content in the domain language indicated by the job title.
• Follow directions provided in English and document evaluations according to project guidelines.
Qualifications
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and or sound mixer.
• Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrics.
• Experience writing lyrical music in Italian, the domain language for this role.
• College degree in music that includes performance, theory, and lyric study is preferred.
• Native or near native proficiency in both Italian and English, with the ability to understand instructions provided in English.
Work Terms
• Location: Remote.
• Employment type: Hourly.
• Start date: Immediate.
• Duration: Up to 6 months.
• Commitment: Part time, minimum 10 hours per week.
Compensation Hourly rate between 19.9 and 58.46, paid on an hourly basis.

• Fluency requirement: Native or near native proficiency in Italian and strong English comprehension for following directions and providing feedback.
