We are looking for a skilled and dependable IT Officer to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the agency's IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, supporting business-critical applications, and delivering responsive technical support to users across the organization. You will play a vital role in keeping our technology reliable, secure, and scalable while supporting the digital tools that power our travel operations. What You'll Do Manage IT Infrastructure & End-User Support Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment. Monitor the performance and availability of the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and internet connectivity. Provide timely technical support to employees by resolving hardware, software, network, and user access issues. Set up workstations, user accounts, email configurations, and system access for new and existing employees. Support Business Applications & Travel Technology Install, configure, and maintain business applications, including Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus and Sabre , travel management platforms, and other operational software. Support API integrations, booking engines, software upgrades, and system configurations to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Liaise with software vendors, internet service providers (ISPs), and third-party technology partners to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance. Strengthen Cybersecurity & Data Protection Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including antivirus solutions, firewalls, multi-factor authentication (MFA), user access management, and endpoint security. Monitor systems for potential security risks and respond promptly to incidents or vulnerabilities. Ensure sensitive client information, payment data, and business records are protected in line with data protection policies and industry best practices. Manage Data, Backups & Business Continuity Perform regular system and data backups using both cloud-based and on-premise solutions. Support disaster recovery planning and conduct periodic recovery tests to ensure business continuity. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and equipment inventory. Recommend technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements to support the organization's growth and operational efficiency. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience Minimum of 2–4 years' hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, network management, or infrastructure support. Experience supporting Global Distribution Systems (GDS), travel management software, or enterprise applications is an added advantage. Professional Certifications (Preferred) The following certifications are an advantage: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent Competencies We're looking for someone who: Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently. Possesses a solid understanding of computer networks, operating systems, cloud technologies, and endpoint management.
