Description
Job Summary We're looking for an IT Officer to ensure the stability, security, and continuous performance of the agency's tech infrastructure, software systems, computer networks, and GDS software integration. You'll support daily operations, help minimize technical downtime, protect client data, and drive technology adoption across all departments. Key Responsibilities Systems Infrastructure & Support Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot office hardware, network switches, routers, firewalls, printers, and workstation setups. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal staff, resolving software, connectivity, hardware, and system access issues quickly. GDS & Software Maintenance Manage software installations, API integrations, booking engine connections, and terminal configurations for GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, etc.) and internal travel management ERPs. Coordinate with third-party IT vendors, internet service providers (ISPs), and software providers to keep uptime consistent. Cybersecurity & Data Protection Enforce cybersecurity protocols, user permissions, multi-factor authentication, and antivirus protection across all systems. Safeguard payment gateway data and sensitive client travel records in line with data protection regulations. Data Management & Backups Run routine system backups (local and cloud-based) and disaster recovery tests to protect company operational data. Maintain hardware/software inventory lists and assess equipment upgrade needs as the agency grows. Requirements Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus. Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and system support. Experience with GDS setups or travel software is an advantage. Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, solid knowledge of network protocols, cloud management, and software support. T he preferred candidate MUST RESIDE IN ABUJA.
