Location : Hybrid 3 days a week in-office (NYC, Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC) Position Summary The IT Engineer I is an IT professional responsible for supporting and maintaining end-user systems, identity platforms, and core IT services in a distributed, cloud-first environment. This role focuses on operational excellence, user experience, and execution of established processes while building deeper technical skills across endpoint management, SaaS administration, and automation. The IT Engineer I partners closely with Helpdesk, IT Engineer II and III staff, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, deploy solutions, and continuously improve IT workflows and documentation. Position Responsibilities: Serve as a primary escalation point for the Helpdesk team for advanced end-user issues requiring deeper technical investigation Support day-to-day administration of identity, access management, and SSO platforms, including user provisioning and deprovisioning Assist in managing endpoint devices using MDM tools to ensure a secure, consistent user experience Execute onboarding and offboarding workflows in accordance with documented processes and compliance requirements Partner with internal teams to support the rollout and adoption of new software tools and systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SaaS applications, Office 365, and endpoint hardware/software Support remote employees across a distributed workforce, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution Contribute to process improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending systemic solutions Create and maintain end-user and internal IT documentation to support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing Assist with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of new IT systems under the guidance of senior engineers Utilize basic scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python) to support automation and task efficiency where applicable Participate in off-hours or on-call support rotations as required Required Qualifications: 3–4 years of experience in systems administration, or a related technical role Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on timely, high-quality problem resolution Hands-on experience supporting end users in a remote or distributed environment Working knowledge of: Identity and access management concepts SaaS application support and administration Endpoint management using an MDM solution Experience with Office 365 administration and troubleshooting Experience supporting Mac hardware and macOS Experience supporting Windows hardw
