Description
As a key member of the ISTC Leadership Team, the Head of Operations, Training & Quality is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all local and international training programmes. Reporting to the COO, this role oversees operational excellence, quality assurance, instructor management, compliance, and international project delivery while supporting ISTC’s strategic growth and client satisfaction objectives. Main responsibilities: • Lead and manage training operations, scheduling, resources, equipment, and training logistics. • Oversee the successful delivery of local and international training projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are met. • Maintain and enhance quality, compliance, and accreditation standards across all training activities. • Manage instructor recruitment, development, competency assessment, and performance. • Support the development and review of training programmes to ensure alignment with industry standards and client requirements. • Provide technical expertise to support customised client training solutions. • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, training delivery, and service excellence. Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Significant experience within the fire service, emergency response, or a related industry. • Proven track record of managing training operations, projects, budgets, and teams. • Strong understanding of international fire and safety training standards, accreditations, and compliance requirements. • Experience leading quality management and audit processes. • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-driven approach. • Proficiency in project management and training management systems.
