Montel has an important role in the green transition, we do this by supporting companies with key decision-making tools, covering the rapidly changing energy markets. Customers of Montel are big energy consumers, energy producers, regulators, traders, consultants, authorities, media, and others. Analyse and optimize the energy market 3 D with us – digitalized, decentralized, and defossilised. To expand our team, we are looking for an intern for 3 to 6 months starting in October 2026 . As an intern at Montel, you will be considered an integral member of our team from the very beginning. You will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the rapidly changing energy sector. Participate in projects that contribute to a sustainable energy economy. 📝 Your Tasks: Supporting the development of models and products Researching, analyzing, and processing of energy market relevant data Programming and automation of internal business processes Independent and autonomous handling of sub-projects Supporting internal teams with general tasks 🫡 Our Expectations: Degree in energy management, engineering, computer science, natural sciences, or economics Must have: Project experience (university or corporate) with a programming language such as Python , C++, Java Nice to have: Experience with database languages, particularly SQL Excellent communication skills in English and German Capability to work independently, undertaking tasks responsibly, mental preparedness, learning aptitude, precision, and reliability 💼 We offer: During your time with us, an experienced colleague will accompany you as a serving as your mentor. Your mentor together with the entire team, will support you in quickly assuming responsibilities and gaining substantial knowledge. The scope of topics includes, current developments in the energy sector, such as the expansion of renewable energies,the hydrogen economy and flexibility options. Armed with the knowledge you acquire, you'll be well-equipped for your upcoming thesis or job search within the energy industry.
