Description
The Internal Communications Manager leads FamilyLife’s internal communications strategy, ensuring staff are informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational priorities.
This role develops and executes communication frameworks that reinforce vision, mission, and values across all levels of staff. The manager partners closely with the Executive Director of Communications and executive leadership to craft clear, timely messaging and consistent experiences that build culture, clarity, and connection. The Internal Communications Manager supervises the Staff Experience Coordinator and ensures equitable engagement across onsite, remote, and field staff.
Job Duties
• Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that connects staff to FamilyLife’s mission, vision, and organizational priorities.
• Partner with the President, executive leadership, and the Communications team to deliver clear, consistent, and timely internal messaging.
• Ensure all internal communications reflect FamilyLife’s voice, tone, and theological alignment within the Cru network.
• Supervise and provide leadership to the Staff Experience Coordinator, ensuring alignment between internal communications and staff engagement initiatives.
• Oversee planning and delivery of organization-wide meetings, town halls, devotionals, and key communications touchpoints that build unity and shared purpose.
• Develop communication templates, tools, and processes that enhance clarity and consistency across teams.
• Monitor staff sentiment and collect feedback to inform strategy and identify engagement opportunities.
• Partner with HR and organizational leadership to support onboarding, change management, and staff recognition efforts.
• Track and report on communication effectiveness, engagement metrics, and platform performance.
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
