Energi People is seeking an Intermediate Fire Engineer to join a Berkshire-based consultancy. This full-time position offers a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum. You will develop fire engineering strategies referencing BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 7974, and Approved Document B. Responsibilities include designing active fire protection systems such as sprinklers, water mist, and gaseous suppression, plus conducting fire risk assessments and offering technical safety advice. The role also involves assisting with CFD modelling, performing fire system design using Revit, and liaising with clients, architects, and regulatory bodies to secure UK compliance. Design and assess active fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, water mist systems, and gaseous suppression systems. Conduct fire risk assessments and provide technical fire safety advice to clients. Assist in CFD modelling and fire simulations where required. Conduct Fire systems design in BIM software (i.e. Revit) for integration with other disciplines. Liaise with clients, architects, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with UK fire safety regulations. Prepare technical reports, fire safety statements, and evacuation strategies. Support senior engineers in project delivery and mentor junior team members. You should have at least 2 years' UK experience.
