Are you experienced in Accounts Payable, reconciliations or service charge finance? Looking for an interim opportunity where your organisational skills will make an immediate impact? We're delighted to be supporting a respected Kent Housing Association in the recruitment of an Interim Finance Officer – Managing Agents on an initial 6–9 month contract. This is a key role within the Service Charge team, ensuring managing agent invoices are accurately reviewed, queried where necessary and processed efficiently to maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and customers alike. Key responsibilities include: • Reviewing and validating managing agent invoices across a large residential portfolio • Investigating unusual charges and resolving invoice discrepancies with external managing agents • Reconciling costs and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained • Preparing clear payment instructions for the Accounts Payable team • Building productive relationships with managing agents and following up outstanding queries • Maintaining organised records and monitoring invoice progress to ensure payment deadlines are met This is an established role with strong processes already in place, so the priority is to maintain high standards and keep everything running smoothly. You'll join a supportive team where you'll receive guidance from experienced colleagues whilst taking ownership of your own workload. The role is offered on an initial 6–9 month contract, with three days per week in the Kent office due to the volume of post-based invoices received. The client is keen for someone to start as soon as possible. The role will be paid via umbrella company. To be considered, please meet the following criteria: • Previous Accounts Payable or Finance Officer experience • Strong reconciliation and invoice investigation skills, ideally having supported Managing Agent invoicing previously • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail • Confident communicating with external suppliers to resolve financial queries • Strong Excel skills • Experience within social housing is highly desirable If you're looking for an interim role where accuracy, organisation and problem-solving are valued, we'd love to hear from you.
