BuildOps is a modern, AI-native operational platform built specifically for commercial contractors. We connect field operations, projects, and back-office functions to create a single source of truth for the business, with deep integrations into customers’ accounting systems. Role Overview The Integration Solutions Architect (ISA) ensures seamless financial and data integrations between BuildOps and customers’ accounting systems, with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and long‑term scalability. You will own accounting integration discovery, design, configuration, testing, and validation, serving as the bridge between Implementation, Product/Engineering, and customers’ finance teams. This role is ideal for someone with controller-level accounting expertise who loves solving complex integration problems, partnering consultatively with customers, and influencing stakeholders toward best practices. What You’ll Do Lead Accounting & Integration Discovery Lead structured discovery sessions with customer finance and accounting teams to understand GL structure, entities, dimensions/classes, and reporting needs . Document current-state accounting setups and integration workflows, including limitations, dependencies, and custom mapping requirements. Align closely with Solutions Architects and Data Analysts on workflow touchpoints and data requirements across implementation. Design & Configure Accounting Integrations Define field mappings, sync direction, and integration logic between BuildOps and accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Vista, Spectrum ). Establish configuration standards for GL accounts, entities/departments, classes/dimensions, and tax rules within BuildOps and the connected ERP. Configure and validate integrations in collaboration with Implementation Managers and customers’ accounting teams. Test, Validate, and Troubleshoot Build and execute integration test plans for AP (bills/expenses), AR (invoices/credits), POs, payments, and related workflows . Reconcile data between BuildOps and the accounting system, ensuring accurate end‑to‑end financial results prior to go‑live. Partner with Data Analysts to validate import/export data and resolve discrepancies, documenting root causes and resolutions. Consult, Influence, and Advocate Best Practices Act as the trusted integration advisor to customers, recommending BuildOps and accounting best practices that support their business today and set them up for future scalability. Balance empathy for customer constraints with clear guidance on standards, data hygiene, and process changes needed for a stable integration. Develop standardized recommendations and playbooks for recurring integration issues and patterns to drive consistency across accounts. Collaborate Across Product and Customer Teams Document integration gaps, product limitations, and bugs; propose and escalate solutions to Product and Engineering as needed. Provide clear integration documentation and handoffs to Customer Success and Support for post‑go‑live stability. Key Outcomes Success in this role looks like: Successful end‑to‑end sync validation before go‑live Accurate financial reconciliation between BuildOps and the accounting system Minimal post‑go‑live integration issues Clear, reusable documentation and high satisfaction from both customers and internal teams Who You Are Experience & Knowledge Controller-level accounting background strongly preferred (former Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader). Deep understanding of AP, AR, POs, jobs/projects, entities/locations, and revenue recognition concepts. Hands‑on experience with at least one mid‑market accounting platform (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Viewpoint Vista, Spectrum ); experience across multiple is a plus. Prior experience designi
