Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our maintenance team in Haverhill, OH. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical and instrumentation systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
The ideal candidate has experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment and possesses strong troubleshooting skills related to electrical systems, instrumentation, and process controls.
Key Responsibilities
•
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain industrial instrumentation and electrical systems.
•
Maintain and repair automatic control valves, transmitters, controllers, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
•
Perform steam tracing inspections, repairs, and monitoring to ensure reliable operation.
•
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
•
Utilize pneumatic and electronic testing equipment to perform diagnostics, calibration, and system verification.
•
Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in a safe and timely manner.
•
Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
•
Partner with operations and production personnel to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.
•
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and facility infrastructure.
•
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
•
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
•
Report equipment deficiencies, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to leadership.
•
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional maintenance activities as needed.
Qualifications
•
High school diploma or GED required.
•
Technical school, vocational training, or certification in Industrial Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
•
Experience as an Instrument & Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, or Maintenance Technician in an industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or processing environment.
•
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and process control equipment.
•
Experience troubleshooting and calibrating transmitters, control valves, sensors, pressure, flow, temperature, and level instruments.
•
Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, and industrial control systems.
•
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
•
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
•
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
•
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience in chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, power generation, or similar process industries.
•
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
•
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
•
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
•
Electrical or instrumentation certifications are a plus.
