Description
We are seeking an experienced Installation & Service Engineer (Lead Fitter) to take a leading role in the installation, commissioning support, and testing of LEV systems across the UK. This is a hands-on role for a competent professional who is confident leading installations on site and ensuring systems perform safely and effectively.
Key responsibilities
• Taking the lead on-site for LEV system installations
• Installing ductwork, hoods, fans, filters, and associated equipment
• Carrying out LEV testing and examinations in between installation work
• Supporting fault-finding, servicing, and remedial works
• Working closely with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure installations meet design intent
• Assisting with manufacture and fabrication of LEV systems at WDCC's Brill facility when required
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in line with COSHH and HSE guidance
• Completing job documentation and test records accurately
Essential experience & qualifications
• P601 qualification - essential
• Proven experience installing and servicing LEV / dust extraction systems
• Ability to lead installation works on customer sites
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and COSHH requirements
• Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK and stay away overnight as required
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or fabrication
• Welding, ductwork fabrication, or workshop-based manufacturing skills
• Background in woodworking, manufacturing, or industrial environments
