Inspector (Part-Time/On-Call 1st Shift) Job Details | Oerlikon Search Jobs Job Description Inspector (Part-Time/On-Call 1st Shift) We are looking for an Inspector (Part-Time/On-Call 1st Shift) for our Agawam, MA facility. In this role t he inspector will work in a self-directed capacity in a changing environment. You will work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow. In performing his/her daily tasks, the individual will draw upon training and experience to make important front-end and back-end processing decisions. As part of his/her primary responsibilities, this individual will also ensure that once the customers’ products have been processed they are inspected for quality, re-packaged, and shipped accurately. Your Responsibilities: • Interact with customers and co-workers in a ‘customer-friendly’ manner • Receive and inspect customer product for processing • Establish product process sequence • Inspect finished product • Participate in continuous improvement activities • Learn new skills and Cross-train into various department • Act as member of the monthly ‘Quality Council’ Your Profile: • High school diploma or equivalent • Must be proficient ordering supplies via the Internet • Experience with MS Word and Internet Explorer • Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g.; drills, etc.) preferred, but not required • Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detailed-oriented • Must be able to lift 44lbs Why Oerlikon: Team Spirit is one of our core values. Our commitment is your success! Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $18.50 to $20.50 per hour. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
