Bureau Veritas is looking for Inspector of Work (IOW) in Architect, Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Electrical experience trained personnel. Compliance with Standards • Ensure all construction activities strictly adhere to approved design documents, technical specifications, national codes, and industry standards. • Verify that any deviations or modifications are formally approved before implementation. Inspection of Materials and Equipment • Review and approve the quality certificates, test reports, and supplier documentation for all materials and equipment delivered to site. • Conduct on-site inspections to confirm that materials meet specified requirements before use. • Reject or quarantine non-conforming materials and report findings to the project owner. Workmanship Supervision • Monitor construction methods and workmanship to ensure they meet contractual and technical requirements. • Conduct regular site inspections and witness all construction processes (e.g., concrete pouring, steel reinforcement placement, waterproofing). • Require corrective actions for any deficiencies identified during inspections. Testing and Verification • Supervise and witness laboratory and field tests (e.g., soil compaction, concrete strength, weld integrity). • Review test results and confirm compliance with specifications. • Ensure that independent testing agencies are properly accredited and that testing procedures follow recognized standards. Quality Documentation • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and approvals. • Prepare non-conformance reports (NCRs) and track corrective actions until closure. • Submit periodic quality assurance reports to the project owner. Continuous Improvement • Recommend improvements to construction processes and quality management practices. • Provide guidance to contractors on best practices and preventive measures to avoid recurring issues. Coordination and Communication • Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to address quality concerns and ensure timely resolution of issue. • Attend Quality Coordination Meetings with the PM/PD, GC on the quality issues that found on site. • Attend Quality Coordination Meetings with client QA/QC team on the quality issues that found on site. • Attending Regular Meetings (on work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with GC and Consultant to discuss key issues related to the project quality issues and take effective corrective actions. Requirement • Personnel shall not exceed 55 years of age. IOW personnel must have at least 5 years of work experience. • Must be registered as graduate engineer with BEM or IOW with BEM or LAM. • Personnel must be familiar with design drawings and local codes, and must be able to identify issues in site construction quality based on design drawings and construction specifications.
