Job Description Injection Moulding Toolmaker | £35,000 to 40,000 | Hertfordshire (SG2) Shepherd Stubbs have partnered with key leader in Precision Engineering. This proven business has been in the home counties now for over 50 years and houses a team of 18 members – Made up of Engineering, workshop and back-office staff. They are now looking for another valuable candidate to join an ever-growing business! As a Toolmaker, you’re the figurehead in the Manufacturing and Modification with high spec moulds – Your attention to detail will be a key presence in this potentially rewarding position. Your knowledge and efficiency of Tool making will be at the forefront of ensuring the workshop standards remain at their highest! Main Duties: – • Working with Milling machines, Lathes and Cylinder Grinders • Use of manual and CNC spark & wire eroders • Manufacturing, Modification & repair of Injection Mould Tools • Using hand tools such as files, saws and grinders • Preparing new mould tools for production • Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault-finding equipment Ideal candidate: • Work Experience involving machining, toolmaking, grinding & fitting with complex / high end specs is a must • Knowledge & use of erodes and Grinders also essential – ideally Hurco & Sodick Brands • Excellent Communicator between your colleagues and customers • Vast understanding of Moulding tools for the production process • Proximity – within 20 miles of SG2 postcode region – Hertfordshire ideal • High attention to detail and ability to work within tight timeframes Company benefits include: 23 days paid holiday including bank holidays Free Annual health checks Regular company events & social gatherings Flexible working schedule – subject to agreement Opportunity for overtime on regular occasions including overtime/pension paid at up to 10% extra Career progression – opportunities to learn new machinery, become Department / Shop Floor Manager
