We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to play a key role in driving the automation and modernisation of our hybrid IT infrastructure within the Distributed Systems Group (DSG). Tasks Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions across hybrid environments • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, platform, application, and security teams • Contribute to automation standards, documentation, and governance Requirements • Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) • Solid understanding of on-premises and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, VMware) • Experience working in DevOps or agile environments • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Desirable • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Familiarity with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) • Relevant certifications (Terraform, Azure, AWS) Benefits • Hybrid and flexible working • Competitive salary and paid leave • Health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits • Learning, development, and career progression opportunities • A diverse, inclusive, and collaborative working environment
