About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Teacher or Assistant Teacher at Yellow Brick Road Preschool in Central/Downtown Phoenix area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for our children. You will work closely with our lead teachers to develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring each child receives a high-quality education and has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
What You'll Do
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, in collaboration with lead teachers, to promote the educational, social, and physical development of our children
• Help plan and organize activities that foster physical, mental, and social growth, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all students
• Regularly observe and assess children's performances, behavior, social development, and physical health, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their child's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on how to support their development at home
• Adjust teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of our students, ensuring each child feels valued and supported
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student progress, as required by law and administrative regulations
• Stay current with best practices in education, attending professional development meetings, conferences, and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge
• Establish a positive and productive work environment by demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to teamwork
• Ambitious work ethic and flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and priorities
Requirements
• Fingerprint clearance is required.
• Food Handler Card
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma is required.
• Clear TB skin test
• Valid CPR and First-Aid
• Ability to create a positive environment conductive to learning. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a Childcare Center setting as a Teacher. No experience required for assitant teacher position.
• Commitment to culture and philosophy of the school with passion for quality early childhood education.
• Clear criminal history and background check
