At WAI Global , production depends on high-performance CNC, laser, finishing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This position is critical in keeping equipment running efficiently, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous high-volume OEM production for global aftermarket demand.
The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for keeping manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently across a wide range of systems.
You will:
• Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on CNC machines, laser cutters, and production equipment
• Maintain and repair finishing systems including blasters, vibratory bowl machines, and Ransohoff parts washers
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems (110V single-phase to 480V three-phase)
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Install and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including power drops and workstation setups
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and controls
• Perform welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, Stick) for custom repairs, guards, and structural components
• Install and maintain industrial ventilation and cooling systems
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment service records
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve uptime and equipment performance
• Mentor junior maintenance technicians and promote safety-first practices
Systems, Equipment & Technologies
You’ll work with a wide range of manufacturing and facility systems including:
• CNC machines and laser cutting systems
• Industrial finishing systems (blasting, vibratory, washing equipment)
• Pneumatic and hydraulic production systems
• Industrial compressors and dryers (screw-type systems)
• Facility electrical distribution systems (110V–480V)
• Industrial ventilation and cooling systems
Maintenance & Technical Scope
• Preventative Maintenance (PM) systems and scheduling
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Equipment installation and upgrades
• Facility infrastructure maintenance
• Downtime reduction and root cause analysis
What We’re Looking For
Required:
• 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (110V–480V systems)
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines and laser systems
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail
Preferred:
• Experience with CMMS maintenance systems
• Background in OEM or high-volume manufacturing environments
• Experience maintaining finishing systems (blasting, vibratory, washing equipment)
• Industrial ventilation system experience
• Leadership or mentoring experience in maintenance teams
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Standing, bending, climbing, and walking for extended periods
• Work in environments with heat, dust, noise, and industrial conditions
