Apex is seeking to add an Industrial Hygienist to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.
The compensation for this role is $28-35 hourly, full time, with benefits, 75% in field / 25% in office. The role is field-intensive and supports a broad range of projects located in the Puget Sound Region. These projects reflect Apex's core practices in industrial hygiene/health and safety, environmental compliance, indoor air quality, and contaminated site assessments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health & Safety or related field and 0-3+ years of experience in Industrial hygiene, health and safety or a closely related field.
Able to function in a collaborative team environment, while also being able to operate independently
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
technical field aptitude, including critical thinking, planning, execution, and field documentation
A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest
Preferred Qualifications:
AHERA Asbestos Inspector certification
AHERA Project Designer
Job Responsibilities:
Hazardous building materials inspections and sampling
Project code compliance monitoring and oversight for hazardous material abatement projects
Indoor air quality evaluations
Technical report preparation
General project administrative duties
