 Build Your Future with HB McClure HB McClure is seeking a skilled Industrial Boiler Technician to support our Service team. This role is built for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working with burners and controls, and delivering reliable service in commercial and industrial environments. You’ll service a wide range of facilities including manufacturing plants, healthcare systems, schools, and large commercial buildings, working on all major boiler and burner brands. What You’ll Do • Lead by example in the field, mentoring and supporting junior technicians • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of steam and hydronic boiler systems • Execute start-ups, commissioning, and system optimization • Perform combustion analysis, burner tuning, and efficiency adjustments • Troubleshoot controls, pumps, condensate systems, DA tanks, and related components • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues including low/high voltage, VFDs, and control systems • Support annual inspections with boiler tear-downs and rebuilds • Ensure compliance with PA boiler codes, OSHA, and NFPA standards • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams • Document service work using mobile technology • Participate in on-call rotation What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of commercial/industrial boiler service experience • Strong knowledge of steam, hydronic, and burner systems • Experience with controls such as Siemens, Autoflame, Fireye, Honeywell • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and combustion systems • Proven ability to work independently and solve complex issues in the field • Leadership mindset with a willingness to coach and mentor others • Strong customer communication skills Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical training preferred • Valid PA driver’s license with acceptable driving record • Ability to pass background check and drug screening • OSHA certification and boiler license (preferred) • Must provide basic hand tools Why Join HB McClure • Employee-owned company (ESOP) – earn company stock for retirement • 401(k) with weekly company contributions • Competitive pay + annual bonus opportunity • Comprehensive medical benefits with low-cost options • Paid time off + holidays • Company vehicle for field technicians • Steady, year-round commercial work Apply today to join a team that values expertise, leadership, and long-term growth.
