Job Title – Indirect Purchasing Consultant Start Date – ASAP (August) Location – Liege (On-site – 4 days per week) Contract Type – Freelance Indirect Purchasing Consultant We are seeking an experienced Indirect Purchasing Consultant to join a growing and dynamic organisation based in Liege. This role will be responsible for overseeing services, purchasing activities – working closely with the facility management and operational teams on-field, and ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of purchasing objectives across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising indirect purchasing performance, ensuring compliance with public tender legislation, and fostering collaboration between purchasing, facility management, and operational teams. This position offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to contribute directly to the organisation’s operational efficiency, with an immediate, hands-on start required. Presence on-site is required 4 days per week. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee day-to-day indirect purchasing activities, with a focus on services purchasing. • Work closely and on-field with the facility management team and operational teams to align purchasing needs with business requirements. • Manage public tender processes from end to end, ensuring full compliance with Public Tender Legislation. • Develop and implement purchasing strategies for services categories to improve efficiency, cost control, and supplier performance. • Monitor purchasing KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Drive process optimisation initiatives and implement best practices across services purchasing. • Manage supplier relationships and support cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality standards. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards. • Lead problem-solving activities to address purchasing and supplier-related challenges. • Prepare purchasing reports and provide regular updates to senior leadership. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (facility management, operations) and external suppliers to support business performance. Skills: • Proven experience in an Indirect Purchasing, Services Purchasing, or Procurement role. • Strong, demonstrable experience with Public Tender Legislation is essential. • Experience working within or closely alongside facility management and operational teams, on-field. • Immediately operational — ready to start with minimal ramp-up time. • Able to work autonomously and take ownership of purchasing initiatives. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. • Experience working with ERP systems and purchasing/reporting tools. • Fluent in French and English. • Results-oriented mindset with excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
