Description
Lanterna Education is looking for talented IB graduates to join our tutor team. We work with ambitious IB students across 80+ countries, and the tutors who thrive here are the ones who genuinely love their subjects and know how to bring them to life for someone else. We think you'll be a good fit if you: Scored 40+ in the IB Diploma and achieved a 7 in the subject(s) you want to tutor Can explain complex ideas clearly and naturally Have your own reliable setup: laptop, microphone, and a stable internet connection Are confident tutoring online, can adapt your approach to keep students engaged, and are comfortable using different tools and platforms to bring lessons to life Are currently at university or recently graduated Want flexible work that fits around your other commitments What you'll do You'll work one-on-one with IB students online, primarily tutoring DP subjects. Most tutors cover around three subjects. Depending on your background and interests, you may also support students with Extended Essays, TOK, IGCSE, or university mentoring. Some students need a few weeks of focused exam prep, others want support across their whole IB journey. In sessions you will explain concepts, work through problems together, and set homework where it helps. No two students are the same, and the best tutors adapt quickly to what each student actually needs. What you'll get £22/hour Fully remote, flexible work that fits around your schedule Students found for you, no cold outreach or self-marketing Study resources provided A supportive team behind you, ready to help with anything from safeguarding to academic integrity questions Meaningful experience to add to your CV What to expect We review applications on a rolling basis. Successful candidates are invited for a short introductory call, followed by a second interview including a mock lesson. If everything clicks, we'll send over a contract and get you started. If you are an IB teacher rather than a graduate, please visit our IB Teacher Tutor listing instead. If you are an IB teacher who would like to work both as a tutor and a substitute teacher, please apply through our IBDP & MYP Online Substitute Teacher position.
