We are recruiting for an experienced HVAC professional to join a growing training and apprenticeship team. No previous teaching or assessing experience is required. If you have strong industry knowledge, a passion for developing others, and the willingness to learn, full support and training will be provided.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to move away from the pressures of service delivery, project deadlines, call-outs, and operational management while remaining within the industry you know best.
The Opportunity
As an HVAC Trainer / Assessor, you will support apprentices and learners working towards Air Conditioning and Refrigeration qualifications.
You will work closely with both employers and learners, helping to develop technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required within the HVAC industry.
The role combines workshop-based activities, apprentice reviews, practical demonstrations, learner support, and employer engagement.
Full training and support will be provided, including assessor qualifications and additional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Support apprentices undertaking Air Conditioning and Refrigeration qualifications
Deliver practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning activities
Conduct apprentice reviews and progress meetings
Visit learners in the workplace and liaise with employers
Support learners with technical knowledge and practical skills development
Assist with workshop preparation, equipment maintenance, and learning resources
Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices throughout their learning journey
Maintain accurate learner records and documentation
Promote health and safety best practices within workshop and workplace environments
What We're Looking For
Proven industry experience within Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, Building Services, or RACHP
F-Gas Qualification
Strong technical knowledge of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems
Excellent communication skills
A positive and supportive approach to mentoring and developing others
Full UK Driving Licence

£40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
