We currently have an opportunity for an HSE and Prevention Manager. Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. Your role: The HSE and Prevention Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the company's HSE strategy in accordance with Belgian legislation and Safran Group SSE standards. The role acts as the legally designated Prevention Advisor and leads the HSE team. In order to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment you will: Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental, and prevention programs. Act as Prevention Advisor under Belgian legislation. Develop and deploy HSE strategy, policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and maintain prevention plans. Lead HSE training, awareness and culture initiatives. Conduct audits, inspections and compliance monitoring. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Manage emergency preparedness, first aid and fire prevention. Participate in CPPT/CPBW and advise management. Ensure environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. Lead and develop the HSE team.
Your profile: You are fluent in Dutch, French and English. You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or Safety & Health, or a related technical or scientific field. You are a Certified Prevention Advisor (Level 1) or Safety Coordinator. You have a strong interest in improving workplace safety and wellbeing with a preventive mindset. You have experience or strong exposure to manufacturing or supply chain environments, with a solid understanding of workshop activities and safety challenges. You have strong planning and coordination skills, and you have a practical and problem‑solving mindset. You have experience in developing and implementing training programs, and in evaluating the effectiveness of HSE processes, programs, and procedures. You are familiar with risk assessments and safety audits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium (EU citizenship or a valid work and residence permit).
