Description
Job Purpose Drive and sustain a Safety 1st culture across warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with DHL Supply Chain HSE standards, local legislation, and client requirements Key Responsibilities • Champion and enforce the Safety 1st culture across all warehouse operations. • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and risk assessments. • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations. • Ensure compliance with DHL Supply Chain global HSE standards and local regulatory requirements. • Lead safety inductions, refresher training, and emergency response drills. • Track, analyze, and report HSE KPIs, incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions. • Collaborate with operations teams to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards. • Support contractor and visitor safety management within the warehouse. • Promote environmental sustainability and waste management initiatives. • Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with safety and environmental policies. • Any other job-related duties as assigned by the line manager. Systems & Tools • EtQ • Logic / Intelex (Business Metrics) • Common HSE reporting and incident management systems • Microsoft Office reporting tools Knowledge & Experience • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field. • Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in warehousing, logistics, or industrial environments. • Added advantage: Exposure to telecom infrastructure, equipment, or project-based logistics. • Strong knowledge of safety legislation, risk assessment, and incident management. • Ability to influence behavior and drive a safety-first mindset at all levels. • Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills.
