Pinewood.AI is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, partnering closely with our Chief Technology Officer and Engineering leadership team. This is a highly visible role focused on supporting the continued growth, development and performance of our Technology organisation. You'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them develop their teams, build leadership capability, improve employee experience and make informed people decisions. As our Technology organisation continues to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to shape how the People function partners with Engineering. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in fast-paced software businesses, understands the dynamics of Engineering and Product teams, and is confident coaching leaders through growth and change. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing at a senior level and helping create high-performing teams within a growing SaaS business. Key Responsibilities Partner closely with the CTO and Technology leadership team to provide strategic and operational HR support. Coach and develop managers, helping them build confidence, strengthen leadership capability and effectively manage their teams. Support organisational design, team growth and succession planning across Engineering and Technology. Work with leaders to define people priorities, objectives and development plans that support business goals. Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations and people development, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience. Support Learning & Development initiatives, identifying capability gaps and implementing targeted development programmes for Technology teams. Act as a trusted advisor during organisational change, helping leaders communicate effectively and maintain engagement. Use people data and insight to support decision-making and identify opportunities to improve performance and engagement. Partner with the HR Director, providing regular updates, recommendations and feedback on organisational health within the Technology function. Build strong relationships across Engineering, Product and wider business teams, promoting collaboration and a positive culture. Requirements: Previous experience as an HR Business Partner supporting Technology, Engineering, Software Development or Product teams within a SaaS or technology business. Strong understanding of the challenges and operating rhythms of software development environments. Demonstrable experience coaching and influencing senior leaders and managers. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively while building credibility and trust. Experience supporting organisational growth, restructuring and team development. Strong knowledge of performance management, employee relations and talent development. A background or strong interest in Learning & Development would be advantageous. Commercially minded with the ability to balance business objectives with employee experience. Confident working independently in a changing, fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve. CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience is desirable. Why Join us?
