HR Administration Manager • Location: King’s Cross, London • Contract: Temporary, 2 months with potential for a longer term contract • Hours: 35 hours per week • Rate: £44.71 per hour umbrella • Working pattern: 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home • Start date: 17 August 2026 A large, purpose-led organisation is looking for an experienced HR Administration Manager to lead a busy HR administration and compliance service on an initial two-month contract. This role sits at the heart of the people function. You will be responsible for making sure HR administration, people data, payroll support, compliance activity and internal processes are accurate, well governed and delivered to a consistently high standard. The work supports managers, colleagues and wider organisational priorities, so the right person will need to bring both strong HR operations experience and calm, credible team leadership. There is also potential for the contract to continue beyond the initial two-month period, subject to organisational needs. What you will be doing You will manage and deliver an effective HR administration service, supporting areas such as procurement, purchasing, invoice payment, meeting management, minute taking, record keeping and written HR communications. Key responsibilities will include: • Managing, supporting and developing a small HR administration team • Setting service standards and monitoring quality, accuracy and performance • Supporting HRIS configuration, establishment data and workforce reporting • Coordinating accurate monthly payroll data input and related pay activity • Managing HR compliance activity, including Right to Work, DBS, declarations of interest, data retention and people-related DSARs • Reviewing HR processes, documenting standard operating procedures and identifying opportunities to simplify or improve delivery What they are looking for You must have strong HR administration experience gained in a sizeable organisation, with the confidence to manage both service delivery and people. Essential experience includes: • Significant experience in HR administration or HR operations • Experience managing people, with the ability to coach and develop team capability • Experience working in an organisation with 500+ employees • Strong HRIS experience and a clear focus on data accuracy • A proven track record of improving processes, accuracy and efficiency • Good understanding of HR compliance, data protection and regulatory requirements You will also need excellent organisational skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to interpret data, produce reports and identify trends. A CIPD qualification at Level 5 or above would be desirable, but the key requirement is practical HR administration management experience in a large organisational setting. Working arrangement The role is based in King’s Cross, London. The working pattern is 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.
