Housing Officer - RB Kingston Upon Thames Job Title: Housing Officer Location: Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom About the Role / Job Summary: The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for its residents. We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join our Housing Landlord Services team. This permanent role requires a proactive individual who can thrive in an agile and networked organization, providing housing services that reflect the needs of our community. The successful candidate will work on-site four days a week and one day from home, ensuring that we maintain sustainable tenancies in vibrant communities. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver integrated housing services to tenants and leaseholders while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders. • Provide a customer-focused housing management service across a designated area, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. • Act as a visible presence in estates, addressing housing management matters and ensuring neighborhood safety. • Champion resident and community engagement, including developing estate improvement plans in collaboration with residents. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years' experience in general needs housing management. • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners. Education Requirements: • Relevant qualifications in housing, social work, or a related field are preferred. Experience Requirements: • Experience in delivering housing services within a local government or similar setting. • Proven track record of managing relationships with tenants, residents, and stakeholders.
