Level:   Support Load:   Full-time Responsible to:   Operations Manager Service Period:   Full time (Ongoing school year) Nature and Scope To facilitate a positive environment for the students, staff, and guests of Heritage International School and to ensure the development of their God-given gifts for Christ-like service in the world community through enhanced school facility maintenance and support. Housekeeping • To provide housekeeping services for the school, ensuring that the school premises are cleaned to the highest standards and taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day cleanliness and appearance of the school site • To ensure that the school provides a clean and secure environment for its staff, students and visitors • To ensure that all duties are carried out with due diligence to health and safety standards • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school • To order and collect necessary materials to complete tasks • Keep necessary records associated with cleaning routines • Remove litter on a daily basis from the school site • Remove and report graffiti to Operations • To ensure that all ground surfaces are safe both internally and externally. • Immediately spot clean spillages of liquids, solids and body waste as required • Clean the toilet areas as required during the day including sanitary fittings and surrounds. • Be aware the safe handling procedures of all cleaning products and to keep them out of reach of children • To clean designated areas of the school to the highest possible standards. • Cleaning duties will include the following but are not limited to: • Wiping, polishing, dusting of designated areas • Emptying and cleaning bins • Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces • Straightening furniture and general tidying up of designated areas • Replenishing supplies in toilets • Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work. • Report all defects/hazards must be immediately reported to Supervisor • Other duties as assigned Personal Qualities: • Modeling and Leadership • Model a personal commitment to Christ and Bible-based Christian living • Maintain personal devotional and prayer life • Member of a Christian Church, either locally or abroad • Seek to inspire others to Christian commitment, faith, and living • Contribute toward and maintains a positive Christian spiritual environment • Exhibit characteristics of being a life-long learner • Maintain a positive academic environment focused on growth and excellence • Consistently maintain ethical and moral personal and professional standards • Consistently demonstrate a knowledge, and a love for a positive learning environment • Consistently use strategies that empower and motivate the students at school Professional Qualifications • A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord • Exhibit a continuing sense of God’s calling to minister at Heritage International  School • Demonstrates a respect for diversity of culture, religion, and different Christian traditions • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in English • Demonstrates an appreciation for the diversity of the body of Christ • Demonstrate a life congruent with our Statement of Faith of Heritage International School
