Job Summary:A lovely private household relocating from the UK to California is seeking two experienced Housekeepers to join their home on a permanent basis. The family would ideally like candidates who are already based in the local area and have a good understanding of the surroundings. Both live-in and live-out options are available, offering flexibility to suit your circumstances.This is a hands-on role working alongside another Housekeeper, involving general housekeeping, laundry, and some cooking. The family have children, so occasional assistance when needed would be appreciated. Previous experience in a similar role is desired, and candidates should be flexible and willing to travel with the family if required. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, respectful household at an exciting time of transition. Job specification: General housekeeping to a high standard throughout the property Daily cleaning, tidying, and organisation of all living spaces Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate garments Wardrobe management and organisation Basic to intermediate cooking for the household when required Assisting with household errands and upkeep Occasional support with children as and when needed Working collaboratively with a second Housekeeper Maintaining household supplies and reporting when stock is low Ensuring a smooth and well-run home environment Flexibility to travel with the family if required Adapting to the family’s routines and preferences Candidate specification: Ideally based in the Los Angeles / California area with good local knowledge Previous experience working in a private household or similar environment Strong housekeeping and organisational skills Confident with laundry, including garment care and ironing A genuine love of cooking would be a significant bonus Comfortable around dogs and happy to assist in a pet-friendly home A driver is preferred but not essential Flexible, proactive, and able to work as part of a team Willing to assist with children when required Positive, discreet, and professional at all times Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to [email protected] Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
