This is lovely job working for an informal family who use their Oxfordshire home mostly as a weekend residence. They are looking for an 'all round' couple who can run the house while they are not there and be 'hands on' when they are in residence.  The house is a real country home and used very much as a place of rest and relaxation and they will very often have family and friends also staying at the weekend and there will be various dogs and children around! The housekeeper's role will be to look after the home and make sure it is well presented, cleaned, fridges stocked, principal and guest bedrooms made up with fresh linen, flowers in the sitting room and that it is a warm and welcoming place to visit.  The other half of the job will be for someone to make sure that any maintenance is taken care of, call in contractors when necessary, pick up any guests at the station, help the gardeners if needed, make sure the security equipment is working and also help in the house if it is busy.  There is no cooking with this job but you may have to help with food preparation. It is essential that you have worked as a couple in a private residence for at least 3 years with suitable references.  You will need to speak excellent English, have a 'can do' attitude and be reliable and trustworthy. This is a five day a week job - if the family are using the house at the weekend then your days off will be during the week - however if the house is not being used then you are welcome to have the weekend free.  The job will come with a cottage in the grounds of the property.
