Description As a Hotel Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the guests of our hotel have a positive experience. You will use your technical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of hotel systems and equipment. You will also be responsible for preventive maintenance of hotel systems and equipment, as well as monitor and inspect the hotel property for any necessary maintenance. This position is for PM shifts 3:30PM-11:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Must be available on the weekends as needed. Requirements Job Responsibilities • Maintain and repair all hotel systems, including electrical, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems • Ensure that all safety and health regulations are followed • Inspect and test hotel systems on a regular basis • Identify and diagnose problems in hotel systems and make necessary repairs •Perform preventive maintenance on hotel systems • Monitor and adjust equipment settings as necessary • Respond to guest complaints and emergency calls • Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance and repair activities • Ensure that all work is properly documented • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures Job Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related field • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel engineering and/or construction • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
