Manpower UK is seeking three Hospital Porters (x3) - Full Time to join a healthcare setting in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable and professional individuals looking to work in a vital support role within a hospital setting. This position is initially offered on a temporary basis to provide sickness cover, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidates. Key Responsibilities Transporting and escorting patients safely throughout the hospital using beds, trolleys, wheelchairs, and chairs. Carrying out general portering duties across the site. Delivering and relocating furniture, equipment, supplies, post, and materials. Collecting, segregating, transporting, and disposing of waste and rubbish in line with site procedures. Cleaning and maintaining wheelchairs and associated equipment. Assisting with mechanical cleaning and other cleaning duties as required. Salting and gritting car parks and external walkways during adverse weather conditions. Delivering linen supplies to wards and departments when required. Using a computerised helpdesk system to log and complete job requests. Supporting additional operational tasks as requested by management. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, health and safety requirements, and service standards. Candidate Requirements Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to deal professionally and respectfully with patients, visitors, and colleagues. A flexible and proactive approach to work. Basic computer skills and confidence using electronic systems. Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties. Previous experience in a portering, healthcare, facilities, or support services role would be beneficial but is not essential.
