Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join our Hospice Volunteer Team. If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community and make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families, we invite you to volunteer with us. As a hospice volunteer, you will provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses and to the loved ones caring for them. Your volunteer time can be in-person, in our office or remote by phone. Your kindness, and presence can bring peace, dignity, and connection during one of life’s most important journeys. Comprehensive Training & Ongoing Support No hospice experience is required. We provide orientation, training, and continued guidance to help you feel confident and prepared in your role. Flexible Volunteer Opportunities We offer a variety of volunteer roles based on your interests, skills, and availability. Be Part of a Compassionate Team Join a dedicated group of professionals and volunteers committed to providing dignity, comfort, and quality of life to every patient we serve. Volunteer Opportunities May Include: Patient Companionship Visit with patients, engage in conversation, read, listen to music, play games, or simply provide a comforting presence. Caregiver Relief (Respite Support) Provide companionship to patients so caregivers can take a short break to rest or attend to personal needs. Art, Music & Creative Support Share your talents through music, crafts, art, or other creative activities that bring joy and comfort to patients. Telephone Support Offer friendly check-in calls and emotional support to patients and family members. Bereavement Support Assist with grief support and follow-up care for families after the loss of a loved one.
