Role Overview GHK Ladies Hockey Club is seeking two enthusiastic and committed coaches - one for each of our 2nd, and 3rd XI teams . This is a great opportunity to join a progressive club environment and play a key role in developing players, improving team performance, and strengthening our club culture across each squad. About Us GHK Ladies is part of GHK Sports Club, alongside men's hockey, rugby and cricket. We have 6 senior teams and a thriving Juniors and Inters section. Our teams play in the following leagues: • 1st XI - Scottish Premiership • 2nd XI - Championship 1 • 3rd XI - Championship 2 • 4th XI - West District 1 • 5th XI - West District 3 • 6th XI - West District 4. We are based at Old Anniesland, Anniesland, Glasgow, G13 1PL. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions at club nights: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 6:30–8:15pm • Develop players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and game awareness • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support individual and team development • Assist with team selection and player progression across squads • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and competitive team environment • Work collaboratively with other club coaches and committee members • Coach and support teams on match days (not essential but desirable) Key Skills & Experience • Coaching experience in hockey (club, school, university or equivalent) • Strong understanding of hockey tactics • Good communication and ability to motivate players of different levels • Team-focused approach and willingness to collaborate Qualifications • Hockey coaching qualification (or working towards one) • First Aid and Safeguarding certificates (or willingness to obtain) Candidates with relevant coaching experience but without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply - the club can support and assist in obtaining recognised coaching qualifications. Time Commitment • Two evening training sessions per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) • Weekend match day coaching (not essential but desirable) • Some additional planning time and club engagement as required Pay: From £20.00 per hour, increasing depending on experience and qualifications.
