For more information about the organisation Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion | HI YOUR MISSION: The Humanitarian Mine Action Business Development Officer (HMA BDO) mainly fulfills the Associate to Director (ATD) function for the Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) Division, in terms of its business development (BizDev) responsibilities. Reporting to the AVR Technical Director, the HMA BDO will have four main responsabilities: Responsibility 1: Project Writing (business development-related only) Take the responsibility of (“R” in the ARCI) or contribute to (“C” of the ARCI – by exception) proposal coordination and writing, with support of technical specialists and in close coordination with country teams. Take the responsibility (“R” in the ARCI) or support Technical Assistance (TA) offers for individual service contract opportunities (pricing, ethics, contracts), and if necessary, management of the technical rosters. As required, support HI staff, in building their BizDev competencies. Responsibility 2: BizDev “intelligence” and reporting Collect and analyse BizDev data for the AVR Division, conduct strategic scanning on donor priorities, sector trends, competitor positioning and emerging opportunities, and translate key insights into targeted opportunities and actionable recommendations, in collaboration with AVR and IF teams. Closely monitor the CRM Efficy and prepare the quarterly “IF Challenge“ reviews to take stock of funding perspectives for the Divisions sectorial scope. Take the responsibility (“R” in the ARCI) of data quality in the CRM as well as “real time” data updates. Produce and monitor technical division dashboards and analysis on BizDev, including information and tracking on opportunities and proposals. Report and communicate to internal stakeholders on donor meetings, useful data and analyse, and on external events as required. Alert the technical director in case of problems, contributes to the problem identification, definition and resolution. Responsibility 3 : BizDev “control tower” Function as the “control tower” of all project opportunities across the entire HI organisation encompassing either expertise or activities from the AVR technical division. As such, monitor, and as required, animate the sectorial BizDev “funnel” (HI positioning/ marketing, prospection/ opportunity identification, management of proposal submission etc.), in collaboration with IF teams, GTS/RTS & country teams (THOP, BizDevs and CDs). Contribute to SLA with regions & programs for the BizDev section. As such, participate to yearly the discussion with THOP and monitor level of support delivered to region
