Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, W-2 Part-Time, or 1099 opportunities available (varies by practice) Schedule: Varies by practice (some opportunities may include evenings/weekends) Location: In-person, hybrid, or remote within applicable states. This posting is a general application for Psychiatrists interested in current or upcoming opportunities within our partner practices. Please note: ARC Health supports recruiting for partner practices. All employment decisions, compensation, and clinical operations are managed directly by the individual practices. Role Summary The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment in an outpatient setting, working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model. Success in this role is demonstrated through safe prescribing practices, strong patient engagement, and close collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams. Site/Partner Practice dependent , PMHNPs may administer and/or oversee TMS treatments. Key Responsibilities • Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications • Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation • Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model • Site/Partner Practice dependent , PMHNPs may perform TMS cortical mappings • Site/Partner Practice dependent , PMHNPs may Oversee staff technicians who perform daily TMS treatments Requirements • Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; • Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred • Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively. • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures • Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy • Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations Preferred Qualifications • Experience treating diverse age groups • Comfort with telepsychiatry • Knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols
