Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a large commercial vehicle fleet, helping to maximise availability and minimise downtime.

The HGV Technician Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs across a varied HGV fleet.
You’ll prepare vehicles for MOT, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults, complete all service documentation accurately and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
You’ll also support apprentice technicians where required and occasionally provide roadside assistance or support at other nearby sites.
HGV Technician Essential Skills
• City andamp; Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent HGV qualification (or significant industry experience)
• Experience maintaining HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge
• Understanding of health and safety procedures
• HGV Class 2 licence desirable
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card advantageous
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
