HGV Rigid Truck Driver Walsh Waste & Recycling is seeking a reliable, customer-focused HGV Rigid Truck Driver to join our collections team. Operating a Rear End Loader (REL) Truck, you will play a vital role in providing waste and recycling collection services to commercial customers throughout Galway City and County. Reporting to the Solid Waste Operations Manager, this position offers the opportunity to work with a growing company committed to safety, service excellence and environmental sustainability. About the role • Safely operate a Rear End Loader (REL) truck, completing scheduled waste and mixed dry recyclables collections across designated routes. • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy, safe and compliant with company and legal requirements. • Deliver a professional and efficient collection service, ensuring all collections are completed accurately and on schedule. • Build positive relationships with customers, respond to queries professionally and escalate issues where appropriate. • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and productivity.
