Your primary role will be to maintain, service, and repair our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure operational safety. Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and resolve faults efficiently. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks including brake, tire, and fluid checks. Maintain clear and detailed maintenance records for all vehicles serviced. Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively. Stay updated with industry standards, vehicle technologies, and health and safety practices. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and environmental regulations. Requirements Professional qualification or completed apprenticeship in HGV Mechanic or vehicle repair. Demonstrable experience working as an HGV Mechanic, preferably within a fleet environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to heavy vehicle maintenance. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Good communication skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Valid UK driving license and certifications applicable to HGV maintenance and repair.
