Main Duties & Responsibilities
Key Tasks
• Carry out efficient collection and delivery of palletised freight, using tail lifts and electric pallet trucks.
• Ensure all work-related paperwork is accurately completed and submitted at the end of each shift.
• Perform thorough vehicle checks before and after every shift to maintain safety and legal compliance.
• Report any non-conformities, issues or near misses promptly to your line manager.
• Secure freight safely for transit to protect goods and maintain quality standards.
• Deliver goods on time, maintaining professionalism and care throughout the journey.
• Use our industry-leading technology for route optimisation and proof-of-delivery capture, making your day smoother and more efficient.
Employer Expectations Skills/Knowledge/Experience
• Proven experience operating Heavy Goods Vehicles.
• Competent in using power pallet trucks and electronic delivery equipment.
• Exceptional customer service skills and confidence dealing with customers.
• Pride in maintaining your vehicle and equipment to a high standard.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required
• Digital Tacho Card – Required
• Valid Class 2 / Category C Driving Licence – Required
• Driver CPC – Required
• Strong working knowledge of driver regulations – Required
