Job Purpose: Virginia International Logistics are currently seeking highly motivated, professional HGV drivers to join our transport team. Various position open for routes in Ireland, UK and Europe. Contract: Full-time, Permanent (following successful completion of 6-mths probationary period) Location and Salary : Will Depend on job offer Positions currently open International Tramper - Availability to work Monday to Friday and Weekends Saturday / Sunday based on business demands Local Drivers for Irish work, Day or Night - Availability to work Monday to Friday and Weekends Saturday / Sunday based on business demands. Local Trampers for Irish Work - Various work and routes. Daily Responsibilities all drivers Complete all daily vehicle and trailer safety checks Correct use of driver’s hours and tachograph rules Safe and courteous driving for all road users Follow site and safety rules at all times and wear required PPE. Maintain collections & delivery’s schedules as set out by the planning office Ensuring prompt and accurate communication with the planning & transport office Ensure equipment is maintained clean and in excellent condition. Essential Requirements ALL drivers : Full clean C+E drivers’ licence, drivers tacho card and completed all required CPC's. Good communication skills. Traceable HGV driving experience - a minimum of two years. Applicants must be legally entitled to work within Ireland and the EU. Reliable with a flexible and adaptable approach to work with a positive attitude Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and focused. Flexible and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. Knowledge of Road Traffic and Health and Safety Legislation Distinct advantage ADR qualifications (ADR Artic Tipper Driver) Experience working in the haulage and logistics industry. Experience in fridge work.
