Cardiff | Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm | Workshop Based
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a large reputable and growing industrial logistics company, for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Cardiff.
This is a long-term opportunity working primarily within a workshop environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.
The Role
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy plant machinery.
• Working on equipment including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and crushers.
• Ensuring all machinery is maintained to a safe and operational standard.
• Occasionally attending site-based repairs when required.
Requirements
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulics and diesel engines.
• Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
• Experience with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance.
