Healthcare Assistant – Residential Care / Nursing Home
Location: Nationwide
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time & Agency / Flexible Shifts Available
We are seeking Healthcare Assistants to support residents living in residential and nursing home settings. These roles involve providing person-centred, dignified care as part of a structured clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including mobility, personal care, nutrition and comfort
• Promote independence, dignity, privacy and respect in all interactions
• Support residents to engage in social, recreational and therapeutic activities
• Observe, record and report changes in resident wellbeing to nursing staff
• Contribute to a positive, safe and supportive care environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with care plans and regulatory standards
Requirements
• QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare Support (or working toward completion)
• Understanding of person-centred care principles
• Reliable, compassionate and respectful approach to care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
• Experience in residential, nursing home, intellectual disability or community support environments
• Dementia care training or equivalent upskilling
Remuneration
Rates vary based on experience and setting.
