Health & Safety Assistant Meath County Council are recruiting for the position of Health & Safety Assistant. The duties of the post of Health & Safety Assistant include, but are not limited to: • Health & Safety Assistant will report to the Health & Safety Officer • To undertake a review of safety, health and welfare management with Meath County Council • To define and assist in the establishing of organisational structures and roles in the area of safety, health and welfare • To review, maintain, update and re-issue the safety documentation as per Meath County Council Safety Management System as is necessary • To undertake a hazard analysis and risk assessment of all activities • To undertake inspections • To undertake an assessment of training needs • To maintain records of safety, health and welfare activities • To maintain Contractor Control Procedures taking account of employer and public library requirements • To investigate accidents and make recommendations for corrective action • To provide advice, assistance and support to the Safety Management Committee and Safety Monitoring Committee • To provide assistance to the Health and Safety Authority and any of its inspectors • To perform such other duties appropriate to his/her office that may be assigned • Maintain records of all inspections, fires, evacuation drills, fire-fighting equipment etc, as appropriate To apply, please see Current Vacancies on Meath County Council website by clicking this https://www.meath.ie/jobs for an information booklet and application form
