Offering the same inclusive, high-quality outdoor learning you know and love, with even more opportunities to learn, grow and connect with the outdoors. Venturewood brings together our established programmes at Petty Pool alongside our expanding outdoor learning offer at Delamere Forest. Petty Pool Community We link young people with learning disabilities and difficulties to leisure, vocational and community activities. Welcome to Petty Pool Based in Sandiway Cheshire, Petty Pool is a charity set up in May 1981, with operational activities divided between Petty Pool Vocational College , which provides education and training for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties, Venturewood (Formerly Petty Pool Outdoor Education Centre) , providing personal development through adventurous activities and Petty Pool In The Community linking young people to leisure, vocational and community activities. Located in the heart of Cheshire, and set in 40 acres of woodland in Sandiway, near Northwich, Petty Pool aims to provide every learner with an effective and enjoyable educational experience that empowers them to reach their full potential whilst at college and beyond. Venturewood Outdoor Education Centre Venturewood delivers high-quality outdoor learning across two unique sites. At Petty Pool, we continue to offer the same trusted programme of adventurous activities for all age groups and abilities, including abseiling, den building, canoeing, problem solving and team building. At Delamere Forest, Venturewood is expanding our offer to include Forest School sessions, birthday parties and a range of outdoor learning opportunities designed for the wider community. Across both locations, young people are supported to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem through enriching experiences in safe environments, helping every participant to thrive and grow.
