Job description Are you a passionate HSE professional looking for a flexible, impactful part-time role? I am partnering with a forward-thinking, supportive food ingredient manufacturer to find a dedicated HSE Lead. In this role, you won't just be ticking compliance boxes; you will truly own the health, safety, and sustainability agenda across two of their key sites in the Essex area. What You Will Bring to the Team The Essentials • Strong experience in an HSE/HSSE role, preferably within food or similar manufacturing environment. • Good working knowledge of UK health and safety and environmental legislation. • NEBOSH General Certificate. • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management. • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle. • Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture. • Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility. • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. • High attention to detail. • Confident communicator with a range of audiences. • Proactive and able to work independently. The Desirables • Understanding of food manufacturing risks and controls. • IOSH, or equivalent qualification. • IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management, or equivalent qualification/experience. • Food safety qualification at level 2 or 3. • Practical understanding of Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirements. Location & Travel This is a multi-site role based across two facilities in the Mid/West Essex region (requiring regular weekly travel between the two).
