Location: Caribbean (Relocation required) Industry: Private Banking / Wealth Management The Opportunity A leading international financial institution is seeking a Head of Wealth Management to lead its Private Banking operations in the Caribbean. This senior leadership role carries full responsibility for the strategic, commercial, and operational performance of the Wealth Management business and the leadership of a team of Relationship Managers and support professionals. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in private banking with a strong track record in business development, client advisory, and team leadership , and will play a key role in expanding the institution's regional footprint. --- Key Responsibilities Strategy & Growth • Define and implement business plans to grow the Wealth Management division, including private banking services and proprietary trading/investment platforms. • Drive sustainable growth in Assets under Management (AuM) and revenues. Regional Leadership • Develop and execute regional growth strategies, strengthening the institution's market presence locally and across the wider Caribbean region. • Act as a senior representative of the firm in the local market. Client Advisory & Relationship Management • Provide highly specialized, bespoke private banking advice to high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. • Build and maintain long‑term, trusted client relationships based on excellence in service and advisory quality. Business Development • Identify, acquire, and actively manage relationships with private banking clients, active trading clients, and external financial intermediaries. • Leverage internal platforms and solutions to meet client needs. People Leadership & Talent Management • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of relationship managers and assistants. • Foster a high‑performance culture with strong adherence to compliance, risk, and quality standards. Financial & Operational Oversight • Manage budgets, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the division. • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficient processes and a consistently high level of client service. --- Skills & Competencies • Extensive experience within Private Banking or Wealth Management . • Strong technical knowledge of private banking products, investment solutions, and trading platforms. • Proven success in sales, business development, and client relationship management . • Demonstrated leadership capability with strong people management and decision‑making skills. • Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution. --- Education & Experience • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g. CIWM, CFA or equivalent) are a strong advantage. • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management. • Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written). Additional languages are an advantage.
