In this role, you will lead the trading desk of a FINMA-licensed securities firm within the Deutsche Börse Group. The desk is responsible for pricing and executing institutional client flow across digital asset spot and derivatives markets, managing the resulting risk, and maintaining a network of counterparties and trading venues. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. The starting date is as soon as possible at our office on the 24th floor of the Prime Tower in Zurich. Responsibilities Lead and manage the trading desk, including a team of traders, ensuring reliable and consistent execution of client trading activity across spot and derivatives Act as business owner of the trading product and service, with accountability for pricing, P&L, platform roadmap, and client experience Set and continuously tune the pricing and execution logic of our proprietary spot order and execution management system, covering spread, skew, automated quoting, and hedging behavior, in close collaboration with Product and Technology Own market risk across spot and derivatives, including inventory, hedging, limit framework, and escalation, supported by an institutional risk management platform Select, onboard, negotiate, and maintain counterparty relationships across liquidity providers, exchanges, and prime brokers Oversee operational and strategic trading account management, including cash, collateral and margin optimization across venues Represent the trading function toward key institutional clients, partners, and stakeholders at senior level Act as senior subject matter expert for Sales and Product on client conversations, pricing questions, and new product design Define and execute the strategic direction of the trading function, including new trading products, venues, order types, and connectivity, in alignment with overall business objectives Develop and mentor traders, own performance management and succession planning, and build a disciplined, collaborative trading culture Work closely with senior management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product on both run the bank and change the bank initiatives, ensuring proper market conduct at all times Maintain strong market knowledge across derivatives and digital asset markets to support informed decision making and to position the team for new opportunities Requirements Proven track record leading a trading desk, or holding a senior desk seat with direct people responsibility, within a regulated financial institution (mandatory) Proven experience in electronic trading and OTC flow trading within regulated financial markets (mandatory) Hands-on experience configuring an order or execution management system, including pricing and execution parameters, rather than operating one purely as a user (mandatory) Derivatives fluency across greeks, margin, basis, and funding, with the ability to discuss these with quantitative colleagues and translate them for clients (mandatory) Credibility with institutional clients at decision maker level, with a demonstrated ability to win and retain relationships (mandatory) Ability to meet FINMA fit and proper standards, including a clean regulatory and background record (mandatory) Full professional proficiency in English, spoken a
