Overview A fast-growing European hydrogen and low-carbon fuels producer is recruiting a Head of Regulatory Affairs to lead its engagement with European and national regulators. Operating across multiple EU jurisdictions, the company requires a senior leader to navigate evolving frameworks under the EU Hydrogen Strategy, Renewable Energy Directive, and CBAM. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the regulatory affairs strategy across all EU operations. Serve as the primary point of contact with French regulators (CRE, DGEC) and EU institutions (DG ENER, ACER). Lead engagement on RFNBO certification, Delegated Acts, and state-aid frameworks. Oversee monitoring of regulatory developments, including REPowerEU and the Net-Zero Industry Act. Provide regulatory advisory support to commercial, project development, and engineering teams. Manage relationships with industry associations (Hydrogen Europe, France Hydrogène). Lead a team of regulatory specialists and policy analysts. Report regularly to the executive committee and board on regulatory matters. Requirements Essential Qualifications 10+ years in regulatory affairs, public policy, or government relations within energy. Deep understanding of EU energy regulation, RED III, and hydrogen-specific frameworks. Prior interaction with French and EU energy regulators. Fluent in French and English. Desired Qualifications Legal background or specialised energy policy qualifications. Experience in a high-growth, capital-intensive energy environment. Benefits Salary €120,000 – €145,000 gross per annum. Bonus and standard benefits apply.
